Finding Inspiration in Everyday
Hermitage Dance Academy's mission is to instill a great love of dance and performing while inspiring self-confidence, discipline, and respect. There is a place for every dancer here, no matter where they are on their dance journey: from preschoolers to beginners at every age to the most advanced dancers. Your child will be immersed in an environment where artists can bloom and thrive, not only in dance but also in character. The goal is to give each individual dancer the tools they need to take dance as far as they dream to take it. We also recognize that not every dancer has aspirations to continue dance after high school, but we know that the lessons they learn in the dance studio can help them achieve any dreams they have in life! We believe, if you can dream it you can achieve it!

Imagine your whole family at HDA....
Mom is taking Aerial silks class with her best friend Jill, Dad is working out with AMPED Fitness and getting stronger, young Sarah is taking her first ballet class ever, while brother, Jake, is finishing up his homework with his friends in the after school program. On their way home, they each share their favorite part of the day.... HDA will likely make its way into their highlight reel from the day, but the time spent together growing and learning as a family is something that will FOREVER be part of the fabric of this family.

Our Class Philosophy
At HDA, our tag line, "More than just great dance," is embodied in everything we do. We strive to teach the whole child and in fact, the whole family with our many inclusive programs!
Each class has a set curriculum that includes learning progressions, traveling across the floor, and combinations in the center and lots of REPETITION! More importantly, however, we incorporate "life skills" into every curriculum and lesson plan including lessons about mutual respect, individuality, community, self-expression, creativity, and confidence.
Every dance class will begin with a warm-up to improve technique and prevent injuries when learning more difficult steps and skills. We create ATHLETIC ARTISTS who take care of their bodies and minds!
