Beginner Dancers

Classes Available (Choose 2 minimum*):

FOUNDATIONS (Required): HDA strives to build strong and versatile athletic artists and knows that ballet and jazz are the building blocks to create a solid base on which to grow and train in other styles as well. You need to have a solid foundation to build a house, therefore this class is a required pre-requisite.

GROOVERS: The rhythm is going to get ya! Musicality and grooves are the essence of tap & hip-hop and this class is a fabulous addition to your jumpstart foundations class. Complete these class series and you will be very prepared to excel in any dance genre!

ACRODANCE: A specialty style of Acrobatics used specifically for dancers. It is a genre of dance which seamlessly fuses elements of lyrical, gymnastics tricks, balancing, tumbling, and jazz.
​​
*All dancers will take a minimum of 2 classes, Foundations is required, then choose at least one more class...or choose all 3! **There is overlap in the ages as compared to the Define level. This is to account for several factors including, but not limited to, maturity level. If you are unsure of which level to place your child please reach out for assistance!

STORYTELLERS: Telling stories through dance is one of the most beautiful and impactful parts of being a performance artist. In this class, through lyrical and contemporary techniques, we will help dancers to pour their feelings and deepest emotions into dance and expression, enabling them to free themselves from things that burden them.
